Voyeur are a Leeds via London based duo consisting of Benson Herbert and Leo Picking. Currently in their final year of university, the two first appeared in March this year with a remix for Bombay Bicycle Club, which was named Rob da Bank’s ‘remix of the year’ and gained serious airplay from Radio 1 tastemakers including Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Annie Mac. Commissions to remix the likes of Santigold and Dan le Sac followed, as well as invitations to support Disclosure and Submotion Orchestra. Now starting to carve their own brand of deep, smokey, tech-house, Voyeur were recently snapped up by deep house pioneer Kerri Chandler to release their debut EP on his Madtech Records imprint. Upon hearing the single, Kerri was so excited that he insisted on blessing the package with his own club mix, as well as inviting the boys to DJ alongside him on London’s Boiler Room. The release has since been championed by DJs from Kerri and X-Press 2 to George Fitzgerald and Dusky, and even Roska and Marcus Nasty. Currently working on new original material and more exciting remix projects, the future certainly looks bright for Voyeur.
