31st January is the least boring night of the year, not only the last day of that blue, post-Christmas slump, but also pay day for many of us… so wear your best dress to go on a date with DJ Boring at E1, a night sure to set spirits high for the new month ahead.
In 2016 he released the lo-fi house “Winona”, which has currently had 5.7 million views. Suitably it was released during the exploding growth of social media and, in an era of where superficial judgement of appearance is prevalent, included the clever addition of the vocal sample of 90’s star Winona Ryder recalling when a casting director stopped her and said she was not attractive enough to become an actress.
Boring has gone from strength to strength, releasing on the likes of E-Beamz and Jacques Renault’s Let’s Play House label, and playing alongside the likes of Project Pablo and DJ Seinfeld.
For Tahn is his most recent EP released on Shall Not Fade and epitomises his flair in production – an understanding and skill that projected him into the spotlight from the beginning. 2018 found him launching a new label with Stanley Schmidt called Vienna, finding a position for nostalgic 90s’ house and funky artwork, and if his energy and talent in his set in the Boiler Room at AVA Festival last year is anything to go off, then you’re in for a treat (who needs red roses anyway).
Supporting Boring are Brame & Hamo, who are making their debut appearance at E1, plus KETTAMA and Manami.
