This Bank Holiday Sunday, Eglo Records will be taking control of both rooms at Corsica Studios for an extra special dancing affair.
Flying in for the festivities is legendary Chicago selector, Sadar Bahar. Known for his enviable collection of vintage disco, funk, boogie and house records, his sets weave between deep soulful grooves and undiscovered vocal gems. This is a rare opportunity to catch a true master of his craft play in the capital.
Joining Sadar are some of the finest artists on Eglo’s roster. First up, Floating Points, one of today’s most gifted and versatile musicians by whom one can only expect to be dazzled. Then there’s man of the moment FunkinEven, in-demand and riding high after a succession of corker releases on Eglo, Broadwalk and his own imprint, Apron. Add to the mix three pioneers of the Broken Beat movement still at the top of their game, Dego (formerly of 4 Hero), Kaidi Tatham and IG Culture. And last but not least, head honcho Alexander Nut, exemplar of eclecticism and beloved regular on Rinse FM.
Couple this rich, diverse array of talent with Corsica’s phenomenal sound system, and you’re in for quite the treat.
