Find Me In The Dark threw their first party just 2 months ago, becoming the latest in a long line of aspirational promoters to grace the hallowed halls of Corsica Studios. You might suspect that crowds could grow weary of the onslaught of like-minded House and Techno nights that have descended on the Elephant & Castle venue, but with bookings as insightful and timely as these, Corsica will have no trouble continuing to attract the discerning music fan.
Find Me In The Dark launched with Omar S, Kassem Mosse, Tin Man and Palms Trax, a lineup that stood out for its depth as well as its pioneering headliners, making quite the impact for a debut show. Their followup has certainly not disappointed, with a Techno-leaning lineup headed up by the prolific Shed under his Head High moniker. If his relentlessly driving releases on Power House are anything to go by, the Main Room will be given a thorough workout.
Also in the Main Room we will be treated to an extended set from Pariah, who since making his name in the bass scene has gone on to forge a reputation as an equally adept producer of 4×4 rhythms – his collaborative work with Blawan as Karenn has in part helped kick start a resurgence of raw Techno coming out of the UK.
In support will be Marquis Hawkes, central figure of the burgeoning Dixon Avenue Basement Jams label (as featured on this website here). As eccentric a DJ as he is a producer, he rounds off a beautifully balanced list of headliners.
White Material‘s DJ Richard, Weekend Circuit‘s Michael Wells and Lobster Theremin‘s Asquith will offer further support, further demonstrating the attention to detail these promoters have when it comes to thorough lineup programming. It will be interesting to see where they go from here, but for now be sure to get yourselves down on Saturday 18th Jan to find out more.
Tickets are currently on sale for £15 here.
