After a break during the Summer festival season, the team at Wire are back and look to be kicking off the new season with a bang. Recently established brand ‘One night with…’ are bringing Floating Points down for a special all-night set on the 26th to showcase his envious record collection and unfaltering taste. Sam Shepherd, a Leeds regular and favourite at events like Cosmic Slop, Butter Side Up, and recently disbanded Louche, has made a name for himself through his pristine productions and his close affiliation with Eglo Records (a label that has pushed forward the careers of artists such as Fatima, FunkinEven and Kirkis).

You can listen to many of Floating Points’ productions on his soundcloud but what you will hear on the night is guaranteed to venture far further from his original sound. His sets are renowned for their variation and expansive track selection, so expect lots of genre hopping and a few surprises. At the root of his collection lies his love for soulful, funky music – as long as there’s a groove, anything goes…
