Set One Twenty have made it their business to put on Leeds’ flagship events – parties that bring together musical sophistication and a real sense of grandeur. Business, for the past two years, has been very good indeed. The likes of Kyle Hall, Leon Vynehall, Mr. G, Eats Everything and Horse Meat Disco have graced the Mint Warehouse decks and they are keeping up the momentum this season with a consistently impressive line up of international and local house legends.
British DJ, label owner and party-throwing heavyweight Nic Fanciulli is a man whose global renown was earned primarily through his abilities as a selector. He mastered the art of the mix CD, then went on to become a proper underground house renaissance man, setting up the Saved Records imprint (now celebrating over 100 releases) and even becoming a Grammy-nominated collaborator for his work as The Buick Project. His flawless selection skills and untouchable knowledge of the dancefloor will no doubt be the catalyst for something truly special at Mint.
Joining him will be San Diego’s Harvard Bass, whose venomous tech house sound has earned him collaborations with Cajmere, as well as releases on Relief Records. He is a thoughtful producer, releasing the stunning Stay True album in 2013, and many more techy grooves since – including May 2015’s Relocation EP on Fanciulli’s Saved label, making him the perfect accompaniment to the headline slot.
Room 2 will be hosted by our very own team at Flux, with sets from Reuben, Perry Miles, and Jack Bettinson b2b Kyle McMahon.
