Opening for the first time this Friday by the Oval Space team, The Pickle Factory has been transformed from a one time pop-up hotspot to a state-of –the-art venue, designed specifically for live music lovers. This intimate setting, boasting a d&b audiotechnik sound system, hosts three highly respected heavyweights in dance music. Headlining the event is New Yorker Anthony Parasole, whose sets have become legendary around the world with those that indulge in the deepest sounds of house. Parasole’s reputation in recent years has been amplified with the launch of his Label ‘The Corner’ combining with a succession of hits including the EP “Tri-State” and “Atlantic Ave”.
Continuing the bill is established Detroit DJ Mike Huckaby. Huckaby who’s had a long career spent as a producer, label owner and profound remixer, is seen as an ambassador for his home city’s history in the industry. His fluid DJ style allows him to mix anything from disco to minimalist techno making his sets one of the most versatile around.
Giles Smith completes the strong bill on the opening night. Smith has made his name off the back of his successful Secretsundaze parties, who he runs with James Priestly. Seen as one the UK’s best resident DJ’s, Smith has a vast knowledge of all electronic-music and will be sure to keep all ears happy.
