Theo Parrish, one of the most instrumental members of Detroit’s tech-house elite, is to perform at the Barbican Hall in London on Saturday, July 12th. Himself on beats and keys, Parrish will be accompanied by a full band, including fellow Detroit producer Amp Fiddler on keys, Akwasi Mensah on bass, Duminie DePorres on electric guitar and Myele Manzanza on drums. The live show marks a ten year long hiatus for the musician and offers a rare opportunity to see the legendary producer-DJ perform music live with a full band.
The performance will be part of the Barbican’s Digital Revolution, an exhibition launching on July 3rd that the venue has stirringly described as “the most comprehensive presentation of digital creativity ever to be staged in the UK.” Parrish himself will not only be treating us to a range of his “old and new Sound Signature classics” but also promoting a new album set for release this summer.
Tickets went on sale on Friday, April 4th and you can pick up your own here.
