Wire Presents… Mister Saturday Night (Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin)

This November, Wire are bringing the sound of the NYC underground to their depths in the form of Mr Saturday Night. Formed in 2009 by Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin who had a shared vision to throw more home-grown parties in New York, their foray was a phenomenal success. The word spread, demand grew and soon after, Mr Saturday Nights turned into Mr Sunday daytime parties. They quickly got bigger than Brooklyn and a few international gigs later, they settled with Plastic People in London, adopting it as their home away from home. In 2012, the duo found time to start their eponymous record label; releasing primarily House and Techno with a harder, wonkier touch, their back-catalogue makes an impressive read, featuring the likes of Alex BurkatAnthony NaplesArchie PelagoBoyaDark Sky, General Ludd, Gunnar Haslam, Keita Sano and Lumigraph.

Expect an eclectic, body-moving set full of Brooklyn energy on the night; but for now, have a listen to this mix recorded for Little White Earbuds:
